Description

Developed with dermatologists, CeraVe Healing Ointment provides intense, long-lasting moisturization and helps protect, soothe and relieve extremely dry, cracked and chafed skin. This lanolin-free, non-greasy formula is designed to hydrate and soothe very dry skin. It temporarily protects and helps relieve chafed, chapped, or cracked skin, making it suitable for cracked heel repair and as a dry skin face moisturizer. CeraVe Healing Ointment forms a physical barrier on the skin’s surface that can help protect injured or exposed skin from external irritants and enhance the skin’s natural barrier function for up to eight hours. Formulated with petrolatum, hyaluronic acid, and ceramides, it helps restore the skin’s protective barrier and lock in moisture. It is also suitable as a foot balm for dry, cracked feet and provides soothing benefits as an anti chafe balm. • Suitable for all skin types, adults and young adults (18+). Unisex• Fragrance Free, Paraben Free, Dye Free, Lanolin Free & Phthalate Free• Hypoallergenic, Non-greasy, and Non-comedogenic (meaning it won’t clog your pores) • Accepted by the National Eczema Association (NEA)• FSA / HSA EligibleHow To Use: Apply to face and body as needed to temporarily protect and help relieve dry, cracked, and chafed skin, including cuticles, knuckles, elbows, knees, heels, and even lips. • Tip: Applying this ointment before bed can help lock in moisture while you sleep for all-night hydration.OINTMENT VS CREAM - WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE? There are three main types of moisturizers: lotions, creams, and ointments. Generally speaking, lotions tend to be the most lightweight moisturizer option, followed by creams, and then ointments—which are usually the thickest and most occlusive. Many people with dry skin choose to include both creams and ointments in their skincare routine. For example, you can apply CeraVe Moisturizing Cream first to help relieve dry skin all over your face and body. Next, CeraVe Healing Ointment can be applied to help provide soothing benefits and targeted relief for chafed or cracked areas (such as chapped lips, cracked heels, and dry hands).
